Shipping a Beechcraft King Air 100 Turboprop Airplane Successfully
Milos reached for the sky to ship a Beechcraft King Air 100 Turboprop Airplane from Canada to Alaska. Planes are notoriously more difficult to transport than standard equipment because you must remove the wings to ship separately from the fuselage. That’s because, generally, the wings are too wide to haul down the highway.
The Beechcraft King Air 100 is a utility aircraft produced from 1964 to 2021. The client collects used and vintage aircraft models. When he purchased this King Air 100 in Canada, he needed reliable international shipping services to haul the aircraft to Alaska safely.
Milos is the manager of our Tampa, Florida branch. Heavy Haulers ships nationwide and internationally, so we can haul equipment from anywhere. Milos has years of experience shipping equipment from Canada to the U.S. and knows how to handle this type of transport.
Preparing The King Air 100 Plane for Transport

Once the team removed the wings, the entire plane fit perfectly on a flatbed trailer. This is another reason it’s best to remove the wings. A small plane can often fit on one trailer and save costs. Milos chose the flatbed trailer based on the cargo's dimensions, his client's needs, and the most optimal financial transport solution.
The plane was inoperable, but driving a plane onto a flatbed trailer is challenging regardless. Instead, Milos called a forklift team to lift the King Air 100 Plane onto the trailer safely.
Milos directed the team on expertly securing the fuselage and wings to the flatbed trailer. To stabilize the fuselage, the team secured curved areas on wooden cradles. Ratchet straps were then used to secure the fuselage and wings to the tie points on the flatbed trailer.
Once the team double and triple-checked the transport, Milos gave the okay for the driver to start the drive.
