How To Ship an Excavator
Choose Heavy Haulers to ship your excavator. Hydraulic excavators usually ship aboard RGN trailers. Smaller models, such as mini-excavators, can travel on flatbed trailers. Just make sure you have access to a dock so you can back your excavator onboard the flatbed trailer.
Hydraulic excavators are loaded with the boom pointed toward the rear of the trailer. Larger excavators require RGN trailers. The goal is to have most of the weight centered on the trailer’s front axle. Extra-large hydraulic excavators exceed dimensional limits for most jurisdictions, which means oversize load permits and shipping services.
